... Please, please, please add the following functionality: when in select/edit entries mode, add the possibility to merge selected entries into one. Time gaps between merged entries then become breaks.

This seems just common sense when using geolocation, working all day in one place but having lunch out. This makes 2 entries when really there is just one with a lunch break.
